The North Dakota Area Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (NDAAFP) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization established in 1983, to serve individuals engaged in or associated with charitable fund raising. It is one the 185 chapters that comprise the National Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
The NDAAFP establishes and advances ethical fundraising principles (practices) for those engaged in the fund raising profession. This is accomplished by requiring adherence to a code of ethics, providing, educational opportunities, and networking for the exchange of knowledge. These opportunities also equip fundraisers to promote public understanding of philanthropy.
Membership in the NDAAFP offers opportunities for those new to the profession of fundraising to learn skills from members of long standing. For established fund raisers membership provides career advancement through a nationally recognized certification program.
The North Dakota Area AFP chapter strives hard to succeed in fulfilling nonprofit excellence for the advancement of the communities in the state of North Dakota and for the members who we are affiliated with in Northwest Minnesota.
The goal of NDAAFP is to support nonprofit staff and organizations to excel and improve in the nonprofit sector through management operations, education, ethics and donors rights; in order to build communities and to address the community needs.
Donations are accepted to help NDAAFP fulfill the mission. To help support the North Dakota Area AFP chapter, please contact Denise Laymon at ndafp@wiktel.com or 218-745-6008. The NDAAFP is a nonprofit foundation. Gifts are tax deductible. Substantial tax benefits can be the result of charitable giving. Donors should consult their own advisers to discuss this.
